I witnessed something that I need to share with my readers and clients.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't leave your dogs collars on while they are playing with other dogs or when they are home alone. My Teddy was playing with one of his friends and I although we were watching them, they got into trouble. While running around and roughhousing, the other dog got his tooth stuck in Teddys collar. Both dogs started screaming and freaking out. My friend and I tried to get the collar out of the dogs mouth but it was twisted and we couldn't get it off. Teddy was choking and I was trying so hard to get even a finger between the collar and his neck but I couldn't. He just started to lay there calmly probably hoping that we could fix it.
Teddy is fine and his friend is fine.
I am writing this because I want it to be a lesson to everyone to please remove your dogs collar when they don't need it on. Also, if you go to the dog park or anywhere where you need it, buy a break-away collar. You can buy one here: www.breakawaycollar.com
If we wouldn't have been there Teddy definitely would have died. And that would suck. Majorly.
