Teddys loves Jake

Jake is a black lab boy who loves Kongs, Peanut Butter, doggie daycare, and his comfy bed situated under a warm and cozy sunny window. Teddy and Jake first met when Jake lived next door to us. Both of them were rescued, or, ...pre-owned and pre-loved. They bonded over their new surroundings and love for humans and other dogs. Now they are great friends who get to see each other around the 'hood or at the dog park.

Welcome Moxie!

Moxie is an adorable little dog with a foxy face and spoiled lifestyle. She makes all the neighborhood dogs jealous because she gets so many treats - one when she comes in from the bathroom and one whenever her owners leave the apartment. She's got her choice of 3 different canisters of treats, even doggie sushi rolls! Sushi rolls? Yep, little treats that look like sushi! How cute!

Moxie struts her stuff in a camouflage color to honor her military family and, well, because she kicks butt.

4th of July - Who wants to celebrate?

Well, the rumors are true. My husband is working on July 4th so we aren't doing any celebrating other than possibly throwing an Old Navy July 4th dog t-shirt on Teddy.

So,...are you thinking "Um,...yeah who cares?"

You might care because this means that Teddys Friends will be OPEN FOR SERVICES! Hello, awesome! Get your party on in DC or some other fabulous location while I hang out here walking your little fur-baby.

Prices are a little bit more of an 'investment' than usual but come on, I deserve it.

Duchess is a very sweet lady.

Meet Duchess. She's a very sweet 9 year old German Shepherd mix who looks alot like Teddy. She has a little human brother too, just like Zoe below. His name is Mark and he is such a handsome little boy. She protects him and loves him so much!

Duchess loves her daily walks and requires a treat after each stroll. She loves her Mean Kitty toy and her little hedgehog toy - though the hedgehog is more like a carcass because the stuffing has been gone since 2007. She loves that thing and her family would never think of getting rid of it since she loves it so much.

Duchess is good friends with Teddy and she loves cuddling with humans. Welcome Duchess!

Welcome Zoe

Zoe is a new dog to the world with only 6 months of wisdom and life experience to share. She has very sharp teeth that she just loves using and a wicked bark for such a little girl. She is super cute!

She loves bones, her little (human) brother, her dog friends, and relaxing in her apartment watching tv. We had the pleasure of caring for her all weekend and she's just a ball of energy and a blast to have around.

She took one of Teddys puppy toys, a little stuffed mouse, and chewed on it all weekend. It's been everywhere, even out for a walk with us. She carries it around like a little baby. So adorable!

Cooking with Ben: Yummy Treats for Dogs

Ben and I cooked some dog treats today. He helped taste test and clean up any crumbs that fell. We made two kinds of treats but Ben can't really taste the difference. He chews and swallows them in 1 second flat so he can't really taste anything but yummy goodness.

We made all natural, no sugar added treats for the neighborhood dogs. The first treat we made was Banana and Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies and second treat was Apple and Carrot Grrrr'Nola treats.

Ben gives these treats 2 paws up!

Welcome Roxy and Serina!

Roxie and Serina are sisters who love dog treats, walks around Alexandria, and intimidating the boys. Roxie is the boxer and Serina (or Rina for short) is the black lab mix with a white belly. These girls learned that they get a treat if they are good on their walk so every time we get back into the house they patiently wait for their bone.

I always put the treats on the counter top while we practice sit and down. Roxie thought she'd sneak by me and rob the treats but I caught her just in time last Friday. Check out Roxie trying to swipe those bones! She's quick, but not quick enough to get em'.

TEDDYS BARK BAR & LOUNGE

Yesterday we hosted our 1st ever Teddys Bark Bar and Lounge. Teddy invited all of his friends and made a lot of new ones at the party too! We had a happy hour for our furry friends that included:

-Dog Wine Tasting (chicken broth and water)
-Organic Dog Treats in various flavors
-Dog Meet and Greet
-FUN!


All of the dogs loved it and the treats were a hit. The Minty Kitties were their favorite treat so we'll keep that recipe on file for the next event. The rain sure didn't stop the party. Thank you to everyone who came and I hope you enjoyed the event.

Welcome Angel!

Angel is a new member of Teddys Friends but she's been a long-time acquaintance of Teddy's. They (Angel and Teddy) often sniff each other outside and play.

Angel is a really pretty girl with white paws and a poofy tail. She's got a fabulous hair-do too! Angel struts her stuff in style with a pink rhinestone collar and matching leash.
